If you asked Jim Carrey’s character from Liar Liar if Yes Man is just a cheap remake because he’s been typecast and also, frankly, because nobody in Hollywood ever has any new ideas, he would say, “yes”.
So would his character from Yes Man.
You more eloquently expressed my opinion, also. Only I was to lazy to put thought into and just call Yes Man a sequel to, a remake of Liar Liar.
