Something Good Can Work by Two Door Cinema Club

It’s always a gamble to release a film having anything to do with the war in Iraq (or Afghanistan). The general public isn’t interested in submersing themselves in a story when they most likely avoid the issues and emotions of the real thing…. That all said, The Dry Land is one of the better films I have seen on the topic — aided by the absence of any politicalizing….The combination of knowledge, passion, and the responsibility they felt to make an honest, real film about what can happen when soldiers return home from war, as well as the full support and aid of the Army synthesized into a film worthy of respect and praise.
