The non-fiction story told here is like “The West Wing” meets “Rubicon” meets “The Wire.” And it certainly leaves you with the idea that indeed, President Barack Obama is a one solid Commander in Chief.

Every single word that Baratunde says is spot on.
As an American, I have been outraged, embarrassed, and downright sad at what I have witness today. I’ve had more than one of my international friends ask me today, in just as many words, what the fuck is wrong with you guys? If I had as raw and honest of an answer as Baratunde’s, I would have said it.
From day one, this whole story has been based on ignorance and flat-out racism. If you don’t recognize this, I genuinely feel sorry for you. We are all better than this.
A majority of likely 2012 Republican primary voters do not believe Barack Obama is an American citizen. 51 percent! …I am just so proud. I am so proud to have been born in a country where unsubstantiated rumors about people you don’t support become majority beliefs.
