If creatives were running things, we would try to create a situation in which everybody got to see everything they wanted to see. And that is the landscape that is emerging, and it’s a less profitable one for the previous generation’s conglomerates, and it is those companies that prefer you to think your selection of one show over defines you as a person and is a matter of life and death. The truth is, people that make you want to laugh are on your side, and people that want to make money off you laughing kind of aren’t, but they own everything and they get us connected to you.
I Am Your Skin by The Bravery
via mcdavis: This song played in the closing few scenes of “Chuck” [last night] as it eases into the season finale for next week. Paired with the last few lines Chuck delivers, this song and the last visual make for great TV.

‘Southland’ returns on January 12th
TNT will restart ‘Southland’ in proper form but airing the pilot episode on Jan 12th. NBC passed on airing quality TV.

If you're not watching Community, you should be.
- Jeff: You see what I'm saying?
- Troy: You're saying I could be a lawyer.
- Jeff: I'm saying you're a football player! It's in your blood!
- Troy: That's racist.
- Jeff: Your soul!
- Troy: *That's* racist.
- Jeff: Your eyes?
- Troy: That's gay?
- Jeff: That's homophobic.
- Troy: That's black.
- Jeff: That's racist!
- Troy: Damn.
"Chuck" May Return Earlier Than Planned
“Chuck” may start airing as soon as the end of this month!
I’m still pissed at you, NBC, for canning “Southland” but this wins you a few points back. Maybe you can throw a little more cash its way and order more episodes?
"Southland" might have new home at TNT
James Hibberd: “If TNT picks it up, the question will be whether they commit upfront to more than the six episodes that have already been produced. My suspicion is that TNT will just air the six, which have already been and paid for, and then see what happens in the ratings … and woe unto NBC if ‘Southland’ should start pulling more viewers than ‘Jay Leno Show’ while on cable…”
HERE’S AN IDEA NBC:
Instead of dumping Southland because it’s “too dark and gritty” for 9pm and too expensive (since you have it on a fucking friday night)… why not put it on a night when people WATCH TV and how about letting it air at 10pm?
I’d rather watch Southland 5 nights a week than Jay Leno pretty much ever. Just saying.
So long SOUTHLAND...
While “Southland” enjoyed support among NBC brass last season, after screening the finished episodes from the upcoming second season, the show’s content was deemed too dark and gritty for broadcast TV, especially for 9 p.m. Additionally, a high-end drama like “Southland” is certainly far more expensive than newsmagazine “Dateline” for low-trafficked Friday night.

WHAT THE HELL. Why is the internet continuing to bum me the fuck out today?
Maybe FX or AMC or STARZ or HBO or SHO will pick it up and make it even better?
