Dear Tumblr,
Your relentless “noticing” of my choice to use missing-e is not going to make me change my mind from continuing to do so. I’ve chosen to ignore your threat of revoked support (which if we are honest, isn’t always the greatest anyway) about 6 times now on the same machine, same profile, same browser, same account. In fact, it’s more likely going to make me rethink using you (yeah, yeah, okay so that threat is just as idle as yours).
I am to continue using the “hack,” thereby maintaining a higher quality of daily usability rather than regress just in case I need your support in the future. I never heard back about my last issue anyway — it’s remained unresolved and I’ve learned to just deal with it.

The future is not bright for 'Missing e'
Moments ago, I participated in surprise conference call with Tumblr staff members. They have indicated to me that they continue to take issue with Missing e even with the removal of usage of the Tumblr API.
They interpret the Tumblr API License Agreement in such a way as it continues to apply…
I love Missing e. I miss the already-shuttered features and I implore the Tumblr staff to work with Jeremy instead of shut him down or force him out. The fact that Tumblr users have chosen to install this plug-in to enhance their UI experience should be a clear indicator that perhaps a better solution is to (re)integrate some if not all of the features.
It’s called Missing e for a reason and it’s a plug-in for a reason. It literally plugs in things that are missing.
And from what I’ve come to understand of this battle, Jeremy seems like a reasonable guy who could be an asset to Tumblr HQ vs. being seen as a foe.

So, apparently there is (has been) a Tumblr backup program… It took about an hour to backup my 2.85g worth of content. I’ve apparently posted 517 songs (this excludes all the reblogged ones) and 3,606 photos (i think that includes reblogs).
It’s kind of odd to think of your blog in terms of file space. And it’s free. Some of you need to remember that the next time you flail around whining and threatening to switch platforms when they actually try to make a little money with a simple t-shirt ad in the side bar of your dashboard.
